Introducing - The Shimmer 12x16" Acrylic on Canvas

This painting was scheduled for deletion, why?

Because it didn't turn out the way I imagined.

But something changed today,

As I was coming out make my coffee this morning, something caught my eye. The sunlight picked up the metallic's in the painting, it shimmered in the sunlight ✨️.

I saw it from a different perspective.

All of a sudden my expectations of the painting had changed. I could see the beauty of what it actually was instead of what I had wanted it to be.

It made me reflect, how often are the disappointments that we experience in life, that cause us anger, sadness, resentment, anxiety or depression a result of things not meeting our expectations verses finding ways to appreciate the shimmer of the current reality?

When you can do this, shift your perspective and view your current circumstances from what you think they should be to one of full appreciation for what they are, that's when miracles occur.

All of a sudden something that you wanted to destroy can become a source of light, hope and happiness in your life.

May this painting be a reminder to look for the shimmers in your life.
