The Complexity of Grey 16x20"
Introducing- The Complexity of Grey 16x20"
Years ago when I was picking out colours for my new house I learned about how complex Grey can be. Not only the shades of Grey 🪢 ( pun intended 😉) but also how the Grey pulled in different colours in the environment. Some Grey's pulled brown, some pulled blue and some pulled green. Trying to find a pure Grey that was a genuine balanced blend of black and white was exhausting. It is possible but you need to pay attention to the subtle details to pick up the pattern. Sometimes I just wanted to choose the easy path and go with a clear this is black and this is white. So much easier this way. But pure black and pure white are not reality either. Everything has different shades depending on the light. I learned that lesson when I was a bride trying to match my veil to my dress but that's a story for another day.
I know we all want the easier path of black and white, right or wrong but it's out ability to handle the subtle shadows and complexity of living in the Grey that show our emotional maturity.
Life is complex and I wouldn't have it any other way.
What areas in life are you looking for the easy way out? Are you rying to fit everything into this is black and this is white (which aren't pure colours either) they just give us the illusion of structure.
In what areas can you apply this? Business or personal? Do you have the ability to shift your perspective on a situation if you view it from a different angle or see it in a different light?
